    Marketing seeks to connect client needs with our capabilities by creating effective, accountable, multi-channel communications which educate, inspire and support our clients. The Country Marketing organisation works together with the other marketing teams (most obviously Investment Content, Data/Insights, Digital Experience, External Comms and Growth & Engagement) to deliver to country needs and the overall EMEA marketing strategy.

    The Marketing Associate Director, DACH & CEE reports to the Head of Country Marketing EMEA. The role collaborates closely with EMEA leaders in Distribution (Sales), Product and Investment Centres and it has managerial responsibility for a team of 5 country marketing managers, located in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

    Your role:


    The purpose of the Marketing Associate Director, DACH & CEE is to develop and support the marketing strategy for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and CEE, and to manage and develop the marketing managers and marketing executives in the team.


    What we are we looking for:

  • Partner with Distribution to build and deliver the overall DACH marketing strategy and go-to-market plans, based on measurable outcomes shaped by clear business cases

  • Develop a strategic partnership between Marketing and Distribution for the team with support from the Head of Country Marketing EMEA

  • Develop the team’s individual talents and expertise to drive the local agenda while at the same time giving input into and leveraging the EMEA Country marketing plans from other regions

  • Work towards continuous improvement of materials and services provided, leverage work across the EMEA marketing teams and work closely with the other regions in EMEA

  • Develop and help execute scalable marketing activities across DACH that meet client and prospect needs

  • Develop talent within the Country Marketing Team with emphasis on the quality of planning, control of marketing budget and effective execution of marketing activities

  • Share DACH marketing plans and be clear on objectives before execution, and move the organization to a measure and learn culture where best practices are shared and improved

  • Lead the team of Country Marketers in DACH to develop and execute marketing activities in collaboration with the Channel Marketing teams – including digital marketing, events, content distribution and PR

  • Be a champion for the use of data and insight to drive more relevant communication and for a client segment based approach

  • What you can bring:

  • Significant proven expertise in B2B marketing in the financial services industry, with asset management experience as a plus

  • Expertise in planning, execution and measuring of marketing campaigns, events, with digital experience a clear advantage

  • Experience in managing a team of professionals and drive proven expertise as an operator to lead this work in an autonomous way, gaining the support and respect of senior colleagues

  • Management in an organisation with emphasis on digital first as an essential way to shape client experience across channels and building up the funnel

  • Leadership and inspiration to a team of marketing managers, respecting the cultural differences in the region

  • Understanding of asset management, customers, products, competitors

  • Good understanding of the different market landscapes and product prioritisation across markets and segments

  • Latest B2B marketing techniques, with emphasis on digital channels

  • Insights, metrics and results-based marketing principles

  • Fluent in English and German. French is a plus

  • High energy and flexible person; this is a changing landscape and we need someone who will ‘move with the times’

  • Motivator who is confident in leading a team of regional experts and ensuring they come together to drive better outcomes

  • Pragmatist who understands that strong progress is more valuable than waiting for perfection

  • Great interpersonal skills that quickly enable strong relationships with key business partners

  • Analytical mind-set to understand and deliver those metrics that link marketing to commercial results, and apply those learnings to improve future regional activities

  • Proactive and energetic team player who values collaboration and can think both strategically and tactically
