About the Role


As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the ‘go-to partner’ for commercialising medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join us.

Based in Germany, reporting to the National Sales Director, the KAM will be in the assigned North West Germany territory (Dortmund area). With responsibility for sales, brand positioning, communication of the clinical and economic benefits of the product, building relationships.


This role is fully accountable for ADVANZ’s sales, local access, and product adoption in the assigned territory, whilst recognizing that Advanz is a matrix organization and that strong collaboration with other relevant functions is needed to achieve the goal.


Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be able to perform each of the following satisfactorily:

  • Regional commercial responsibility for Advanz products
  • Achievement of sales targets including the application of innovative multi-channel strategies depending on customer needs and based on the national marketing strategy
  • Identification and development of further users, experts and speakers for the Advanz Product
  • Development of new customers and resilient customer relationships, as well as the expansion of existing customer relationships in the areas of hepatology and gastroenterology
  • Continuous analysis of the regional market (development of market shares, number of patients and changes in treatment schemes)
  • Preparation of regional business reviews including subsequent implementation of an action plan in close coordination with the MSL
  • Regular maintenance and updating of the CRM system for communication and documentation purposes and analysis of the monthly sales figures and derivation of measures from them
  • Participation in regional and national congresses as well as medical and scientific training events
  • Organizing local and regional medical events with KOLs
  • Provision and use of marketing and sales promotional materials and programs
  • Complete all company administration and reports within guidelines and time scales specified to ensure a high standard of management information.


External Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Ensure adherence to ADVANZ compliance framework and relevant industry/country laws / codes of conduct
  • Create clear and effective stakeholder maps, including decision makers & influencers
  • Create detailed individual stakeholder plans which lead to mutually beneficial business relationships, with respect of the ethical code of business conduct and regulation
  • Facilitate customer education in our markets, increasing awareness of clinical practices, through organization of medical information regional meetings, respectful of the German code of practice


Internal Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Proactively work with medical, market access and marketing to develop solutions that deliver against stakeholder expectations and achieve account plans.
  • Share customer insights and adopt best practice nationally across departments and peer group to inform the future development of materials, campaigns, and proposition
  • Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and take accountability for results
  • Have a bias for action and fast decision making
  • Drive the spirit of “One Team” by working collaboratively across all business functions, with an open, honest, and respectful cooperation

Qualifications

  • Full driving license.
  • Fluency in written and oral German is required, with understanding of written and verbal English
  • Graduate in Business or Life Sciences related degree


Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the German hospital and office-based landscape and their characteristics
  • Keen understanding of the need to understand and support patient pathway design –
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Results oriented with excellent analytical, strategic, business planning, communication
  • decision-making skills
  • Must be Advanced in at least 3 of the following Commercial Competencies – Business Excellence, Insights to Actions, Disease and Therapy Area Expertise, Creating a Performance Culture
  • Track record of diplomacy, judgments and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and integrity at all times
  • Learning agility and ‘scalability’ to take on increasing responsibility as ADVANZ grows
  • Result and action orientated
