Sales Manager - Hydrogen Storage Solutions - Berlin (Hybrid)

One of the new clients I'm representing is a leading provider of innovative hydrogen storage solutions aimed at revolutionizing the clean energy sector.

With a commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, we specialize in developing and delivering advanced hydrogen storage systems tailored to meet the evolving needs of various industries. As we continue to expand our presence in the market, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Berlin, Germany.

I'm looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive the sales efforts for our hydrogen storage solutions in the Berlin region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in B2B sales, particularly within the clean energy or industrial sectors.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets to contribute to the company's growth and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share for hydrogen storage solutions in Berlin and surrounding areas.
  2. Identify and prioritize key market segments, industries, and potential clients for our hydrogen storage products, including industrial manufacturers, energy companies, and research institutions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
  4. Collaborate closely with the product development and engineering teams to understand customer needs and provide input for product enhancements and customization.
  5. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits and features of our hydrogen storage solutions.
  6. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and long-term partnerships.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments related to hydrogen storage and clean energy technologies.
  8. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our hydrogen storage solutions and expand our network within the clean energy sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or technical background preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales, in the clean energy industry, preferably ESS background, but PV or EV is good.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong understanding of hydrogen storage technologies, renewable energy systems, and clean energy markets, is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent in both English and German; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany, and wider Europe for client meetings, conferences, and events.
