Sales Manager RMI - Mining and Industrial (Europe & UK)

Lead growth in the RMI - Mining and Industrial sector! Join our team as a highly motivated Sales Manager for Long-Lead Products across Europe and the UK


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate new business relationships with end clients, distributors, consulting engineers, and main contractors.
  • Utilize the company CRM tool to track opportunities, build winning sales strategies, and achieve order input targets.
  • Manage customer-facing activities by collaborating with internal departments (Marketing, Engineering, Management) to improve project conversion rates.
  • Forecast order input using a defined sales pipeline and develop sales plans to progress opportunities.
  • Create and maintain customer plans, including gap analyses, sales plans, competitor analyses, forecasts, and sales pipeline reviews.
  • Prepare quotations to customer specifications using relevant software and technical documentation within set timelines.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve customer queries and progress requests.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations using RMI's required tools and software systems.
  • Manage time effectively, plan travel efficiently, and be prepared for regular overnight travel.
  • Professionally maintain a company vehicle.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, training events, and briefings as required.
  • Manage personal operating expenses while maximizing value-added opportunities with key accounts.
  • Provide feedback on sales opportunities, technical issues, competitive positions, and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of the internal quoting program.
  • Support the development of products and services for the European and UK markets.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing industrial application sales (critical requirement).
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of industrial pumping systems (direct experience in industrial steel applications a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Project Manager, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. English language professional level is a must-have requirement.
  • Ability to acquire, interpret, and understand technical information.
  • Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving high standards.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude.

This role is primarily remote-based, with 65-70% travel required throughout Europe and the UK for client meetings, site visits, and events.
