Global Marketing Manager


Life Science People are working with a leading global biotechnology company specialising in innovative solutions for ophthalmic and Orthopaedic care. Their commitment to advancing eye health drives our research, development, and distribution efforts, aiming to provide cutting-edge treatments to patients worldwide


They are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Global Marketing Manager to lead their marketing initiatives within the Ophthalmology Division. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving the global marketing strategy and execution for their ophthalmic products.


Key Tasks


  • Develop and implement comprehensive global marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth for our ophthalmology products.
  • Lead the planning and execution of product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities across international markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs, to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor ROI to optimize marketing spend and maximize impact.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, industry associations, and other stakeholders to drive thought leadership and advocacy for our products.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to regional commercial teams, ensuring alignment with global marketing strategies and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the ophthalmic market, and leverage insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.


Requirements


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in global marketing roles within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on ophthalmology or related therapeutic areas.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing global marketing strategies that drive business growth and market expansion.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Comfortable working in both strategic and operational contexts, with a hands-on approach to managing marketing initiatives and driving results.
  • Fluency in English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
