Key Account Manager - Public Safety and Defence Technology

THIS ROLE IS 100% ON SITE IN MUNICH. NO REMOTE OR HYBRID OPTION. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE.

The opportunity

We’re hiring an experienced and highly trusted Key Account Manager to own and grow strategic client relationships across public safety, law enforcement, and defence organisations. This is a security sensitive, high responsibility role focused on long term partnerships rather than transactional sales.

You’ll act as the primary interface between complex institutional clients and internal technical teams, ensuring advanced training and simulation solutions are delivered smoothly, adopted successfully, and generate clear operational value for end users in mission critical environments.

By expanding existing accounts and identifying new growth opportunities, you’ll play a central role in scaling a fast growing defence and public safety technology business.

What you’ll be doing
  • Building, managing, and strategically developing long term relationships with government bodies, police organisations, and military institutions
  • Acting as the central point of contact across the full customer lifecycle, from pre sales through delivery and ongoing use
  • Conducting detailed needs analysis and shaping tailored training and technology solutions
  • Identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities to deepen and expand existing partnerships
  • Planning and delivering product presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations, including on secure or restricted sites
  • Ensuring smooth project delivery in close collaboration with development, support, and product teams
  • Preparing reports, analysis, and forecasts on account activity, usage, and growth potential
  • Leading contract negotiations, framework agreements, and tender processes
  • Representing the organisation at industry events, conferences, and official institutional meetings
What we’re looking for
  • Native level German and very strong English skills
  • At least 3 years of experience in key account management, ideally within government, security, military, or defence related environments
  • Strong understanding of the structures, processes, and expectations of public sector institutions
  • High levels of reliability, discretion, and professionalism in security sensitive contexts
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to non technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and experience managing multiple strategic accounts
  • Proactive, solution driven mindset with strong analytical thinking
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, including to secure or restricted locations
Nice to have
  • Experience working with XR, VR, AR, or simulation based training technologies
  • Familiarity with procurement processes within police, military, or government organisations
  • Experience with public tenders and procurement law
