HR Operations Analyst – Germany

Contract Position until end of October with extension possibility

Onsite – Munich/Garching

Role Overview

As an HR Operations Analyst supporting Germany, I delivered comprehensive HR operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle. The role focused on ensuring legal compliance, operational excellence, and a consistently positive employee experience within a fast‐paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supported end‐to‐end employee onboarding, ensuring a compliant and smooth start for new hires and employees changing roles or locations.
  • Provided hands‐on employee support across HR life‐cycle events, including complex cases and escalations, while guiding employees through benefits, policies, and local resources.
  • Managed and maintained employee data and documentation in line with German legal, payroll, and benefits requirements.
  • Coordinated country‐specific HR administration processes, including employment documentation and local reporting needs.
  • Supported employee engagement initiatives, providing local operational expertise for HR‐led programs.
  • Maintained the local compliance calendar, ensuring timely completion of mandatory actions and reports.
  • Partnered with internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance with German labor law and organizational policies.
  • Coordinated the benefits lifecycle (e.g., health insurance, pension plans, life insurance) in collaboration with global and local vendors, ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Worked closely with regional and global HR teams, including HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, Staffing Administration, and Employee Support teams.
  • Acted as a local HR point of contact for Germany, ensuring alignment between global frameworks and local requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration or HR operations supporting Germany.
  • Strong knowledge of or exposure to German employment law, labor practices, and workplace culture.
  • Fluent in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling confidential employee data.
  • Customer‐focused mindset with a passion for delivering a high‐quality employee experience.
  • Proactive, well‐organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working in cross‐functional and international teams.
