About JHC Consulting
JHC Consulting is a remote advisory firm whose work sits closer to judgment, review, and decision support than to routine execution. The work is often analytical in nature, but not in a purely mechanical sense. It involves examining information carefully, understanding what it supports and what it does not, and helping bring structure to material that may initially be incomplete, uneven, or difficult to interpret. We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst who wants to build strong analytical habits in a setting where clarity, precision, and professional discipline matter.
About the role
The right person for this role is someone who is patient with detail, thoughtful with information, and capable of working with care without losing context of the broader objective. This position sits closer to careful investigation than to high-volume reporting or building dashboards for visual effect.
You will be responsible for supporting analytical tasks across various research and decision-support projects. Much of the day-to-day involves taking raw spreadsheets, fragmented inputs, or background materials and organizing them into a functional state. Your duties will also include verifying that assumptions are well-founded, figures are aligned, and summaries are actually backed by the underlying data.
While this is a junior-level position, we expect a high level of professional discipline rather than the carelessness sometimes associated with early-career roles. We want to find individuals who prioritize accuracy, think deeply before reaching conclusions, and recognize that the best analysis usually serves to reduce confusion rather than inflate complexity.

- checking figures, categories, and source consistency
- preparing summary tables, structured notes, and analytical support materials
- identifying gaps, anomalies, inconsistencies, or weak comparisons

We would expect a strong candidate to have:
- confidence handling structured data with care
- good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
- basic SQL skills
- strong attention to detail
- clear written English
- a disciplined approach to checking accuracy

What the role offers
This position offers:
