Main Purpose of Job
- Responsible for microbiological and pathogen analyses, reading and recording of results on worksheets and reporting to supervisor.
- Responsible for performing ICPs (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) and report any deviation to supervisor.
- Ensure compliance to 5S practices within the lab.
Main Responsabilités
Media Préparation:
- Responsible for media preparation, as per Laboratory Instructions/Internal Standard Operating procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining the minimum stock level of prepared media and chemicals with the right identification on each and appropriate storage.
- Responsible for maintaining the media stock record, updating when a bottle is transferred from stock count to operational count.
- Responsible for performing the Internal Control Plan as per the described schedule of the concerned area.
General Micro Lab and Pathogen Lab:
- Responsible for general microbiology or salmonella analysis, as per Laboratory Instructions/Official Methods/other procedures
- Responsible for counting/reading of results, and correctly filling the worksheets during analysis and reporting the results to the supervisor.
- Responsible for preparing the samples for retention with proper identification of analysis and disposal date.
- Responsible for performing the Internal Control Plan as per the described schedule of the concerned area.
Sample Registration:
- Responsible for sample registration, as per Internal Standard Operating Procedures along with the preparation of worksheet for the samples to be tested and arranging the samples in a sequential manner.
- Responsible for sample registration using SAP, as per Internal Standard Operating Procedures within the defined time-line
- Prior to sample registration, all samples received in NQAC Dubai for analysis shall be checked in compliance with the requirements
- On-time hand over of registered samples to analysts by generating LV QC batch, accurate labelling and identifying samples with correct sample IDs, arranging the samples in a sequential manner and creation of Inspection Lots for non-GLOBE customers and internal samples
- Acknowledgment and health check of all registered samples within the day
- Responsible to liaise and resolve issues with customers concerning matters related to samples and analysis request forms or WPR in alignment with the supervisors
- Responsive to the customers through email communication in a courteous and professional manner with full and clear details or explanation on the next action to be followed
- Responsible for ensuring all visitors understand the Safety and Hygiene Basic Information after logging-in
- Send any samples or items to other NQACs or laboratories through courier company
Note : The responsibilities outlined within the above areas will be managed by the employee depending upon the rotation on area responsibility
Safety:
- Must be trained in laboratory safety and must be familiar with the contents of the safety manual.
- Must be aware of the risks involved with each activity and take measures to minimize risks
- Must report any health problems that might interfere with their work or the smooth running of the laboratory.
- Is responsible for taking care of themselves and their co-workers, for following S&H rules and procedures, and for highlighting and addressing new risks as they are identified
Inventory Custodian:
- Responsible for performing monthly Inventory of Stocks (Media/Chemicals/Disposables/Labware) by the end of the month and update the lists maximum on the 3rd day of the month including any Stocks in ALERT Level, Minimum Stock Level and expired/close to expiry items with follow through till receipt
- Ensure that the correct labels (Hold/Release) have been put on each bottle.
- Initiate media performance check at receipt of a new batch of media.
- Performing volume validation and leak test for every lot received of Disposable Pipettes and leak test for every lot received of Nalgene liners before releasing for use
Additional Responsibilities
- Inform superior of any deviation observed on analytical results and issues related to laboratory activities (safety, organization, etc.)
- Actively participate in the DOR, raise concerns, and put forth ideas for the improvement of the operations which could lead to an increase in the efficiency of the lab.
- Strictly adhere to the principles of GLP and lab safety at all times including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE’s) as per instructions and trainings.
- Apply the principles of 5S and clean as you go at all times in the lab.
- Participate in P test as per the schedule and obtain analytical results within the satisfactory range of Z score.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification-Degree in Microbiology or related science background.
- 2 years work experience in relevant field of testing if practical.
- Good understanding / communication in English.
