Senior Data Scientist - Operations Research - Munich Germany

About the Role
You will be responsible for developing validating and implementing advanced mathematical models that drive key operational decisions across pricing logistics resource allocation and forecasting. Using operations research and statistical optimisation techniques you will design and deploy scalable analytical solutions that directly influence strategy and performance. The role combines technical depth creative problem-solving and strong business collaboration.

Requirements

• Masters degree or PhD in Operations Research Applied Mathematics Computer Science Engineering or another quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience applying operations research or data-science methods in production or commercial environments.
• Strong background in mathematical optimisation (linear nonlinear integer programming) and related solvers (Gurobi CPLEX etc.).
• Experience with stochastic modelling simulation and forecasting methods.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R and solid knowledge of SQL.

• Experience deploying analytical models into production environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to lead projects end-to-end translating business challenges into data-driven solutions.

• EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit for Germany is mandatory.
