Scientific Researcher / Scientist (m/w/d) – Genetic Testing Services, Erkrath, Germany

Core Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory activities in support of client studies or procedures.
• Analyze data for quality and completeness, determining whether results meet expectations.
• Record data in compliance with company and regulatory policies and standards.
• Execute scientific testing strategies and studies.
• Participate in the development of assays as part of the team.
• Lead assay research, assay validation, or study conduct; and be involved in material preparation (e.g., protein, nucleic acid, cells).
• Review and interpret study data, communicate results to clients, and write final reports.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and all applicable SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assay or technical issues in the laboratory when scientific expertise is required.
• Contribute to specific dataset interpretation and answer regulatory authority questions when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Four‑year degree in natural sciences or equivalent (B.Sc. / M.Sc. / Ph.D.)
• Immunological or molecular biology expertise, especially PCR and real‑time PCR.
• Highly structured, detail‑oriented, and goal‑oriented work within tight timelines.
• Experience with animal models is desirable.
• Service and customer‑orientation skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and fluency in German and English.
