Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in data analysis, data quality, and process & data mapping. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by analyzing source systems, identifying data integration needs, and supporting the design of scalable solutions and business models.
This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on translating business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements while ensuring solutions are scalable, feasible, and aligned with business objectives. The TF BA collaborates closely with the business, developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical data expertise, and analytical problem‑solving skills to ensure high‑quality data solutions that support enterprise analytics and decision‑making.
Roles and Responsibilities Business & Stakeholder Engagement- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business problems, pain points and requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement‑gathering sessions.
- Act as a trusted advisor by proposing solution options and trade‑offs.
- Create and maintain artifacts such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Journeys and Acceptance Criteria, Process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
- Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and traceable.
- Develop data and KPI definitions and implement these into our global data catalog.
- Analyze source systems to understand existing data structures.
- Perform data profiling, data quality assessment, and exploratory data analysis on source systems.
- Map source‑to‑target data flows and define transformation logic for data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Design Data models, Entity‑Relationship diagrams, and document data definitions.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues and propose remediation strategies.
- Work closely with data architects and engineers to validate source system assumptions.
- Work with data architects, data engineers, BI developers, and solution architects to ensure accurate implementation of data requirements.
- Support data mapping discussions and participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with architecture standards.
- Assist development teams during implementation by resolving requirement‑related questions.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization activities.
- Validate solutions against business requirements during testing phases.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by defining scenarios and validating outcomes.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts related to proposed changes.
- Support business users on data ownership and data quality processes and drive a data driven culture and mentality.
- Contribute to process improvements in requirement management and delivery practices.
- Maintain documentation standards and best practices.
- Support change management and impact analysis activities.
- 5–8 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience working as part of project team in global transformation projects in Operations and Supply Chain Management or Human Resources and Finance.
- Solid experience with data analysis and technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques; Microsoft Azure knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams including developers, QA, and product owners.
- Experience in understanding how data supports solid processes and hence adds business value is a must have.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Computer Science/ Economics/ Engineering/ Business Administration
Functional & Analytical Skills- Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills.

- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
- Strong attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Exposure to databases and data flows.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure or similar.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Power BI etc), Databases (SQL etc), Azure.
- Good communication and collaboration skills in a global environment.
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is a must; German and Japanese are a plus.
- Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
