- Festanstellung
Within the Finance function of Fresenius Digital Technology, we support reliable financial steering, transparent reporting and stable operational finance processes. Acting as the link between Controlling and adjacent operational teams, we help ensure high data quality, robust project controlling and reliable monthly charging processes. This role is especially important to strengthen data consistency across systems and to further improve the quality of our financial and operational information base.
As a Junior Controller (m/f/d), you will support our team in project controlling, data management and process execution. You will contribute to reliable reporting, stable monthly charging processes and continuous improvements in data quality and controlling workflows. The role combines analytical work, operational coordination and hands-on process improvement in a dynamic finance environment.
Your responsibilities:
Support project controlling activities end-to-end: Prepare actuals vs. plan/forecast analyses, recurring project reporting and ad-hoc evaluations for ongoing projects and cost structures.
Ensure high data quality across relevant systems: Maintain and validate key controlling and master data, including project-related structures and financial dimensions such as cost centers, profit centers and WBS elements.
Perform recurring quality checks: Identify inconsistencies in data and system settings, coordinate corrections with relevant stakeholders and help ensure that data structures remain accurate and up to date.
Act as the interface between the controlling team and the charging team: Support stable, reliable and timely monthly charging processes, including clarification of data issues and follow-up on open points.
Maintain process documentation, user guidance and training materials: Ensure transparency, consistency and efficient onboarding for relevant controlling and data management processes.
Support users and stakeholders in operational topics: Help resolve day-to-day issues related to reporting structures, hierarchies, project-related data and system usage.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives: Gather business requirements, structure them into clear concepts and coordinate implementation with internal stakeholders and IT where needed.
Collaborate across functions: Work closely with colleagues in Finance and related teams to improve data consistency, reporting reliability and the efficiency of end-to-end finance processes.
Your qualifications:
Education: Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.
Experience: First relevant practical experience in controlling, finance, reporting, project controlling, master data or data management through internships, working student roles or initial full-time experience.
Functional know-how: Good understanding of controlling, accounting and reporting processes, ideally with first exposure to project-related financial steering and reporting structures.
Analytical capability: Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and high attention to detail, especially when working with financial data and system-based information.
Systems and tools: Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel; first experience with SAP-based finance or reporting environments is a plus, for example SAP BW, SAP FI/CO, SAP PS, SAP CATS or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Strong AI competencies: curious and proliferate in using AI to increase efficiency, create work excellence and improve processes
Working style: Reliable, independent and hands-on, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams and follow through on operational topics.
Communication: Strong communication skills and confidence in working with different stakeholders and functions.
Languages: Business-fluent English is required; German is an advantage.
Mindset: Energetic, improvement-driven and curious, with the ambition to challenge existing ways of working, identify better solutions and contribute beyond pure task execution.
Why join our team
Meaningful impact from day one: You will directly contribute to reliable project controlling, stable charging processes and better data quality across systems.
Broad learning opportunity: You will gain hands-on experience across controlling, reporting, master data, systems and process improvement in an international finance environment.
Varied and visible role: You will work on both operational finance topics and continuous improvement initiatives, giving you a strong foundation for further growth within controlling and finance.
Collaborative team environment: You will work closely with experienced colleagues and stakeholders across Finance and related functions in a dynamic setting with strong team spirit.
