Associate Director / Director – Utilities (Germany)Location: Berlin or FrankfurtSalary: Up to €110,000 + packageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director or Director to lead a high-performing Utilities team within a fast-growing, specialist consultancy operating at the forefront of major infrastructure and mission-critical development.This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in unlocking the land potential for the development of data centre projects through ensuring adequate power connection / supply.The RoleYou will take a leadership position across both front-end advisory and delivery, driving utilities strategy and execution on a range of major infrastructure projects. A key aspect of the role involves unlocking land potential, particularly where utilities constraints or capacity challenges impact development viability.Projects will include:Substations (HV/MV)High Voltage (HV) cablingSolar farms and renewable energy schemesGas turbines and small-scale power generationUtilities infrastructure supporting data centre developmentsYou will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered from feasibility through to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Utilities function across Germany, providing both strategic direction and technical oversightAdvise clients on utilities strategy, feasibility, and infrastructure planningDrive delivery of complex utilities projects from inception through to completionIdentify and resolve utilities constraints to unlock development opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong client relationships across the data centre and infrastructure sectorsSupport business growth through team development and project acquisitionAbout YouExtensive experience delivering major utilities or energy infrastructure projectsStrong technical understanding of HV infrastructure, substations, or power generationProven track record across full project lifecycle (feasibility to delivery)Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects is highly desirableStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsAbility to operate at both strategic and delivery levelsFluent English required; German language skills are advantageousWhat’s on OfferSalary up to €110,000 (dependent on experience)Opportunity to lead and shape a growing utilities teamExposure to high-profile, complex infrastructure and data centre projectsFlexible location: Berlin or FrankfurtClear pathway for career progression at a senior leadership levelIf you are looking to take the next step into a strategic leadership role while remaining close to project delivery, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving sector.
