About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist focused on causal inference and measurement you will design and implement frameworks to evaluate the causal impact of pricing marketing and product initiatives. You will utilise advanced statistical and econometric methods including experiment design quasi-experimental methods and machine-learning-augmented causal modelsto provide insights that directly inform strategy. The role involves strong collaboration across product engineering and business teams and requires translating rigorous analysis into practical deployable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree (PhD preferred) in Statistics Econometrics Mathematics Computer Science or related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science with a focus on causal inference ideally in pricing revenue management or marketing measurement.
• Proven expertise in methods such as: difference-in-differences (DiD) regression discontinuity design (RDD) synthetic control methods instrumental variables (IV) propensity score matching/weighting and Double Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python (and/or R) experience with relevant libraries and comfortable working with large complex data sets and SQL.
• Ability to build deploy and maintain algorithms/models into production systems with scalability and repeatability in mind.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills: able to explain advanced methods and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid or flexible-work model in Munich Germany.

• EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit for Germany is mandatory.
