As a Senior Backend Developer (Python/AWS) you will be responsible for the design development and operational support of backend systems and APIs in a global cloud environment. You will combine strong backend engineering skills with DevOps practices ensuring that AWS-based services and integrations are scalable secure and efficient. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning solutions end-to-end from infrastructure to code to production support.

What you will be doing:

• Design build and maintain backend services and APIs with a focus on scalability performance and security.
• Develop and deploy AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) covering services such as S3 Lambda ECS RDS MWAA Glue and API Gateway.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines automating build test and deployment processes.
• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve production incidents ensuring high system availability and reliability.
• Optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting participating in sprint planning code reviews and backlog refinement.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team.
   

Qualifications :

• 4 years of experience in backend development and DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in Python (Go or JavaScript is a plus).
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services (e.g. S3 Lambda ECS Glue RDS API Gateway) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices including tools such as Jenkins Git Nexus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with container orchestration (OpenShift or Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (Jira Bitbucket Confluence).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in global distributed teams.
• Pharma or other regulated industry experience is a plus but not required.
