Audiovisual Technology Lab in Huawei's Heisenberg Research Center (Munich) is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

Master's Student Intern - Learnable Video Coding (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Identify or/and create training data set for learnable video coding technologies.

• Training learnable video coding algorithms and optimize performance vs complexity trade-off.

Your areas of expertise

• A Bachelor's degree in at least one field of media technology (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Visual Computing) with a specialization in video, images, graphics, and related fields

• Excellent ability to evaluate compression performance and complexity for video coding algorithms

• Experience and capability in learnable technology design

• Fluency in both written and spoken English
