Internship or Working Student (Werksstudent)

Our growing Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) group develops ultra-high precision mixed-signal ICs for safety-critical automotive applications. An essential part of our work is to make sure that we build the right the products to meet our customers’ requirements, and then to make sure that the actual ICs that come out of fabrication indeed fully work as expected. We rely on industry-standard software tools to make this happen.

We are currently offering an internship that is focused around developing rich large-language model (LLM) support for industry-standard requirements-management tools. This is a unique opportunity to apply the power of LLMs and other AI infrastructure to a practical and challenging hardware engineering application.

During your internship, you will build software frameworks that use various APIs to analyze and organize information, drive verification, perform integrity reviews and more – there are many possibilities. You will work directly with experienced hardware engineers that are eager to expand their toolkit.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • API-based interaction with requirements management tools and LLMs
  • Requirement-driven Hardware Design and Hardware Verification
  • State-of-the-art analog and digital IC development and simulation tools
  • Understanding practical electric vehicle and BMS design challenges
  • Locations

  • Munich, Germany
  • Desired Qualification

Ideally, you have completed a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, are following a Master Program and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Programming experience in Python and a decent understanding of data structures are essential; existing experience with LLM interaction is desirable. A broad general knowledge of mixed-signal electronics, or an interest to learn about them, is a clear plus.

If this internship offer draws your interest, we would love to hear from you!
