Data Engineer - ETL, Data Warehousing - Frankfurt - 65.000 EUR


We have partnered with a leading company in the leisure and tourism industry win their search for an experienced data engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with enhancing and maintaining our data warehouse ETL pipeline. Your responsibilities will include integrating additional data sources into our sophisticated data warehouse using SQL queries or interfaces. Working alongside data analysts and data scientists, you will optimize our data foundation to drive the data-driven future of our organization. If this sounds intriguing, we'd love to connect!


Your Responsibilities as a Data Engineer:

  • Developing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines utilizing SQL and web services, with a focus on documentation and testing.
  • Expanding our data management solution using open-source components such as PostgreSQL, Java, Python, Mara Framework, and dbt.
  • Contributing to the optimization and expansion of our data warehouse, particularly focusing on the ETL pipeline.
  • Identifying, documenting, and analyzing data sources and mappings based on business requirements.
  • Ensuring consistent and user-friendly data sets for modern BI tools like Tableau and Jupyter.
  • Managing and optimizing DevOps processes for operations, including maintaining infrastructure in Azure Cloud.


What You Bring:

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional experience in software development, particularly in data engineering.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle) and strong SQL skills.
  • Experience in Dimensional Modeling and writing ETL scripts.
  • Proficiency in Java or Python programming.
  • Familiarity with versioning and DevOps tools such as Git, Linux, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, and Github Actions.
  • Fluent in German, both spoken and written.
  • A team player who thrives in agile environments.
  • Strong attention to quality.
