Job Title: Security Operations Center Analyst (Frankfurt)

Location – currently Frankfurt am Main, later Rüsselsheim / Germany

Job Summary:

The SOC Analyst will work in the data center onsite. Typical duties include:



  • This is an entry level position for the physical security SOC
  • Actively monitoring of physical security events affecting Client DCs, including personal and asset safety. Coordination, event processing follow-ups are also a part of the job to ensure secure, stable, and efficient operation of the data centers.
  • Incident Response: They also manage incident responses and conduct a thorough analysis in case of a security/safety event. Follow defined formal procedures for incident prevention, detection, and mitigation.
  • With minimal assistance, performs analysis to detect security/safety threats, alerts, or risks and escalates to critical incident response team and/or external authorities, if necessary. With minimal assistance, implements security/safety protocols to support the physical protection of company personnel and assets. With minimal assistance, delivers and maintains security programs in areas of responsibility.
  • SOC Analysts must prepare reports on incidents, breaches, and the effectiveness of the security policies in place. This could involve detailing specific events or trends over a designated period to help inform adjustments to the threat protection measures.
  • Compliance: They ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory standards, including those related to data privacy, datacenter security and health/safety.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program at Client data centers, seeking data and recommending strategies and ideas to reduce churn, optimizing resources, implement creative solutions to problems, scale, automate and simplify processes whenever possible.



Qualifications:

  • While it is an entry-level position, some experience in a physical safety/security-related role would be beneficial. This could be from internships, part-time work, or any type of role in a safety-conscious environment, preferably datacenters
  • Candidates should have strong observation skills to watch CCTV feeds effectively and spot suspicious activity. They should also be able to operate the security monitoring system accurately and confidently. Basic computer skills are also essential.
  • Alertness & Decision Making: Must be alert at all times during their shift to respond quickly and effectively to any issues that occur. Good decision-making skills are also important to decide best courses of action during a security event.
  • Regulations & Compliance: Basic understanding of the security regulations and compliance issues associated with the operations of a data center.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the datacenter or security industry and who have experience with large security service companies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English/German and ideally Mandarin/Chinese to ensure effective communication within the team and the ability to read and interpret security protocols and instructions.
  • Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, the applicant must likely pass a stringent background check.
