Commercial Excellence Manager International (Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine), DACH & UKIN Clusters

This role will be a part of our new Commercial Planning Team. It is a key driver for sustainable and profitable growth across our Business Units Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (GSA / DACH Cluster) as well as UK, Ireland and the Nordics (UKIN Cluster).

We're currently looking for a key driver in supporting Commercial Excellence initiatives through close collaboration with the local Sales & Marketing teams and the Digital Commercial Excellence team on a global level.

Location: UK or Germany, preferably close to one of our sites in Watford, Hamburg or Munich

What will you be doing?

The overall responsibility of the Cluster Commercial Excellence Manager is to develop and implement Sales Force Effectiveness initiatives, including sales force sizing and structure, segmentation & targeting, opportunity management, territory optimization, sales performance analytics and incentive compensation plans that will have a direct positive impact on the P&L of the business.

You will be sharing Sales Force Effectiveness best practices with the local Sales Management across the Clusters and support them in systems development and implementation alignment with Digital Commercial Excellence team (CRM, Analytics, Dashboards, Insights, etc.) and ensure high data quality and utilization.

As Commercial Excellence Manager you will establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Cluster Commercial teams (Sales & Marketing), Digital Commercial, Sales Operations, Pricing & Corporate Accounts team as well as the Customer Care teams.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in e.g. Business, Economics or similar subject. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

  • An in depth understanding and experience in Commercial Excellence, Marketing, sales and / or account management, ideally gained in the in the MedTech or healthcare industry, with exposure to relevant European markets (UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Nordics)

  • Experience leading direct reports

  • Proven successful track record in utilization of CRM System

  • Ability to influence, analytic mindset, management skills

  • Travel requirements: Up to 20%

  • Fluency in English & German (written & spoken), any other languages are a plus.
