Coders Connect is excited to be partnering with a global powerhouse headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, renowned for their innovative approach in sustainable and digital packaging solutions.


About the Role:


You will be joining a growing team with an aim to expand into the global markets. The data engineer will be responsible for:


  • Designing, maintaining, and enhancing products and data pipelines, catering to both analytical and operational requirements.
  • Developing and managing a Delta Lakehouse using Databricks & Azure-native tools, specifically tailored for analytical and operational functions.
  • Utilizing Azure services, Databricks, Python, and low-code tools to execute the Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL/ELT) processes efficiently.
  • Delivering key business outcomes for managerial and executive analytical functions through Power BI, ensuring seamless daily operational activities
  • Integrating data with third-party partners, including customers and companies.
  • Additionally, facilitating data integration between internal tools such as Salesforce and various ERP systems within a heterogeneous source system landscape.


Requirements:


  • Degree in Computer Science or a similar course of study
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a same/similar role
  • You have gained some experience in SQL database engine, tunning, modeling and quering
  • Experience in Data Warehouse ELT design and development, methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices is a plus
  • You have gained experience with multiple data architecture paradigms (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Spark)
  • Solid understanding of data methodologies in Azure; as well as being able to deploy and connect to various applications
  • ERP systems: CRM salesforce system
  • Data models expertise is essential
  • Manufacturing execution systems are preferable
  • Knowledge of various data communication protocols (e.g. REST API, Websockets) as well as open source machine learning libraries and frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, etc) would be advantageous


Above all skills required, you must:


  • Have coached or mentored junior data engineers or led a project
  • Commit to working on a Hybrid model in Hamburg 2-3 days a week is compulsory
  • Be at a Level B1 minimum and above German proficiency
