PostDoc Biochemistry/Neurophysiology Life Science Research (m/f)


Leveraging Bayer’s unique position in Life Sciences: Research at the interface of human,
animal and plant health:

  • Establish and use various physiological, cellular and electrophysiological methods and assays directed towards the discovery and characterization of novel compounds for all life science areas: crop protection, animal health and human health
  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate the scientific progression of projects and ensure state of the art science of research and development studies
  • Continuous develop, implement and applicate novel methods and technologies in the area of ion channels
  • Plan, evaluate, interprete and present experimental studies
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary project groups across various functions


  • PhD in biochemistry, biology or a related field
  • Broad experience in insect/nematode neurophysiology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology and pharmacology
  • Strong background in various electrophysiological technologies and calcium Imaging methods
  • Ability to organize and manage projects with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Good scientific writing and presentation skills
  • Very good networking and communication skills
  • Ability to support change in complex organizations
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
