BCG's Corporate Development Practice (CD) offers holistic support for all questions relating to the corporate development agenda, including corporate strategy, corporate finance, corporate transactions, and corporate finance processes. We strive to develop and execute a best-in-class suite of marketing and communication materials and activities that support our client teams in building and strengthening client relationships. We also seek to spread awareness and generate interest among our internal stakeholders for the practice's activities.

The focus of this position is on helping to execute the global marketing agenda of the Corporate Development Practice across the full range of external and internal marketing and communication activities and channels. In this role you will be working in close collaboration with the CD Marketing Manager, the CD leadership team, and the global and local Marketing teams.


1) Supporting the planning, preparation, and execution of conferences, events, and partnerships

  • Managing the compilation of invitee lists for events
  • Updating the invitee lists for client events as well as coordination with the CRM team
  • Creating event support materials such as welcome books and surveys
  • Coordinating the interface to adjacent BCG teams assisting with event organization
  • Supporting communication/event updates to BCG event stakeholders and leadership
  • Providing on-site and event logistics support as needed

2) Maintaining BCG's marketing systems and platforms as well as interfaces of adjacent BCG Marketing teams

  • Liaising with local Marketing teams, Partners, and Assistants to improve the quality and volume of relevant contacts at core clients and targets in BCG's contact database
  • Working closely with BCG's Global Marketing, Editorial, and Media functions to leverage resources and ensure support for projects, and to provide input on the practice's behalf

3) Assisting with the coordination and execution of external communication activities

  • Creating and coordinating of external newsletters
  • Reviewing and coordinating content updates of our practice's online presence on bcg.com, bcg.perspectives, and handling social media channels

4) Supporting internal communication activities and platforms

  • Collecting input from stakeholders and drafting internal communications (e.g., newsletters)
  • Preparing and sending out internal communications using the campaign mailing tool
  • Updating the practice's Navigator landing pages and practice credential materials

5) Tracking marketing effectiveness and running marketing reporting

  • Updating the practice's marketing "dashboard" along key metrics based on BCG's Marketing analytics platform
  • Evaluating the success and impact of practice area events and partnerships
  • Tracking media coverage of our publications and other marketing activities
  • Tracking competitors' marketing and communication activities

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant internships or up to 2 years of related professional experience
  • At least bachelor's degree with strong academic achievements required, ideally in marketing or business administration or other related subjects
  • Marketing, social media/media, or event management experience required
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German language skills
  • Strong project management, organization and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Service oriented and proactive approach
  • Self-starter, results-driven, solution-oriented
  • Structured and analytical thinking,
  • Very good planning and reporting skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
