Senior Manager / Associate Director Global MS&T Location: Frankfurt/Munich/Berlin About the Role A leading, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director to join its Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) function. In this role, you will act as a global subject matter expert (SME) in upstream and/or downstream processing, supporting the delivery of complex biologics products across an international manufacturing network. You will play a critical role in ensuring process consistency, robustness, and performance across internal sites and external partners, contributing directly to the successful commercialization of advanced therapies. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for upstream and/or downstream manufacturing processes across a global network * Act as a key interface with external manufacturing partners (e.g., CDMOs), ensuring alignment on technical standards and performance expectations * Lead process harmonisation and standardisation initiatives across multiple sites * Analyse manufacturing performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives * Own and drive technical lifecycle management, from late-stage development through commercial manufacturing and post-approval changes * Support technology transfer, process validation, and troubleshooting activities Experience * Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline * Significant industry experience in biologics manufacturing, with strong exposure to upstream and/or downstream processing * Experience working with external manufacturing partners/CDMOs in a global environment * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders * Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Why Join? * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge biologics and advanced therapies * High-impact role with global visibility across manufacturing operations * Collaborative, science-led environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement * Strong commitment to professional development and career progression * Flexible and supportive working culture designed to enable high performance
