Finance & Accounting Associate (50–100 %, Remote)

Your responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks (accounts payable/receivable, postings, reconciliations, bank statements).
  • Support monthly routines and ensure clean, timely, and accurate processes (postings, reconciliations, simple reporting).
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Coordinate with our German and Swiss tax advisors by preparing documentation, answering inquiries, and ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain, organise, and further structure our financial data across DATEV, Bexio, and Qonto.
  • Monitor key financial metrics such as average prices, margins, and cost developments.
  • Support profitability analyses, product-level cost reviews, and ad-hoc financial evaluations.
  • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting by preparing data, checking plausibility, and identifying variances.
  • Actively contribute to improving our accounting and finance processes as we move toward a more integrated finance setup.
Your profile
  • Completed degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a commercial apprenticeship with solid understanding of accounting and finance processes.
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a finance-related role.
  • Strong numerical skills and a good understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
  • Structured, precise, and reliable working style – you notice inconsistencies and enjoy resolving them.
  • Interest in supporting basic controlling tasks, profitability analyses, and forecasting routines alongside accounting.
  • Strong German and good English skills.
  • Bonus: experience with DATEV, Bexio, Qonto, or working in an e-commerce/start-up environment.
