Facilities Manager - Munich<p> The area: Real Estate and Workplace Services</p> <p> Google&rsquo;s Real Estate and Workplace Services team builds and maintains the unique, invigorating work environment that enables our employees to focus on innovation. Striving to make Google the best place to work, our team of real estate, construction, facilities operations and services professionals are constantly searching for new ways to improve workplace efficiency and implement initiatives to delight Googlers around the world.<br /> The role: Facilities Manager</p> <p> This position will take responsibility for managing the daily operations in a local setting, which include managing reception functions, mail, security/safety, food service and the employee perks program. You will assist in cultivating a collaborative, friendly and fun work environment that fosters innovation and productivity. You will need to demonstrate a high level of customer service in order to best service our employees. You will need to be motivated by autonomy and ownership, yet keen to report to other staff at all stages.<br /> Responsibilities:</p> <p> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Plan and manage delivery of daily office activities, programs, and service objectives in a local/regional setting in collaboration with functional teams.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Manage outsourced facilities services vendor; ensuring best practices are being created by using and testing Google products.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Oversee property management services including: maintenance of building and mechanical systems, janitorial service and supplies, and health &amp; safety in a demanding environment that requires the highest level of service delivery.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Manage facilities operating budget, vendor service contracts and RFP processes, including obtaining vendor price quotes, preparing contracts and purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Act as on-site liaison during planning and construction of office expansions is also responsible for space planning, tracking, move coordination, and new hire space accommodations.</p> <p> Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Experience in facilities with an emphasis on business services or equivalent office management experience within a large organization.</p> <p> Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Ability to implement and manage processes and procedures in an evolving environment.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Solid strategic and operational facilities management and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Demonstrated success in organizational development and experience working with a diverse team in a global environmen<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Ability to think &quot;out of the box&quot; and bring creative, nonstandard, and innovative solutions to the table. Meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Excellent customer service and people skills and ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentation<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * Proficient in the use of common business software programs; familiarity with Google applications desired</p>
