Audience Development Strategist, YouTube Operations EMEA - London<h3> The area: Strategic Partnerships, Content Partnerships</h3> <p> YouTube&rsquo;s (a Google company) mission is to organize the world&#39;s information, and our growing Content Partnerships team helps to provide access to all of the world&#39;s content. Through content partnerships and programs, we support Google.com, YouTube, Google Book Search, Google Maps and Google Earth and over 20 Google products/properties around the world. The breadth and scope of content we acquire almost defies description - it includes video, books, publications, mapping data, satellite and aerial imagery, business addresses, restaurant reviews, retail product inventories, real estate listings and government data.</p> <h3> The role: Audience Development Strategist, YouTube Operations EMEA</h3> <p> As an Audience Development Optimizer, you will be part of the newly formed audience development team designed to strategically build audiences for specific partners and content. You will devise and execute a strategy to grow viewership and an engaged subscriber base by working with all aspects of audience development, including product development, marketing, search engine optimization, social media marketing, partnerships, data analysis, and user research.</p> <p> With previous online video experience combined with your deep expertise in growing audiences and knowledge of online trends, you will help set best practices for audience development. You will circulate knowledge throughout YouTube and work directly with key partners. You&rsquo;re a problem solver by nature and your strategic thinking skills will be critical in devising new tactics and turning data into actionable information to both enhance content optimization and influence product development. The perfect candidate is someone who is a self-starter, intellectually curious, and able to think with both sides of the brain.</p> <p> You should be comfortable working in a results-driven environment, able to multi-task, social media savvy, have a strong interest in online video, and want to be part of an innovative team that is forging new ground and redefining the world of media.</p> <h4> Responsibilities:</h4> <ul> <li> Design and execute audience development optimization plans for select partners, channels and content.</li> <li> Manage partnerships on a day-to-day level and collaborate with strategic partner management team to identify partnership opportunities and needs.</li> <li> Help develop key strategies and new product features for audience optimization.</li> <li> Analyze and interpret data, define viewership patterns and growth metrics, and deliver recommendations based on data.</li> <li> Work cross functionally with marketing, product and sales to execute on audience development initiatives.</li> </ul> <h4> Minimum Qualifications:</h4> <ul> <li> BS/BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.</li> <li> Experience in online video, social media, and audience development.</li> </ul> <h4> Preferred Qualifications:</h4> <ul> <li> Graduate degree.</li> <li> Knowledge of online video and experience in online entertainment or new media with an understanding of the online entertainment space as well as YouTube.</li> <li> Demonstrated ability to drive viewership or online growth specific to certain verticals including Gaming, Music &amp; Film and/or Sports.</li> <li> Excellent analytical and written/spoken communication skills.</li> <li> A team player with outstanding partner relation skills and a desire to redefine how people discover and consume content.</li> <li> Fluency in an additional European language (French, German, Italian or Spanish)</li> </ul>
